I have a conference in Tampa in May. I will have my thermal riflescope and probably night vision scope (Photon XT) as well. Any tips for Public Land areas? Any locals free the 18-22 of May?

I hunt in St Aug with NV and thermal, my advice snake boots and a mosquito head net, there are serious and one can end your life, be aware.....very aware, and do not get complacent because you can "see" in the dark. I almost got tagged by a Pygmy yesterday, that would have really ruined my weekend.
