My baseball coach in high school shot a hog three times in the side with a 44mag at 15 yards. Then it took 4 rounds in the head and he was still kicking. I shot one later that day with a 22lr in the back leg and it dropped dead. I hit the main artery and I guess it blew up on him. My coach was pissed! |

62gr Federal Fusion, or Remington Hog Hammer works good.

Middle of the neck. I personally use 6.8 but my hunting partner only uses fmj 5.56 it will get the job done. Their back none runs through the center of their neck. Google it

I mainly shoot FMJ's because I have a lot of them and when riding around on the farm that is whats loaded. No issues dropping them. Also shoot them with a lot of Brown Bear HP's as it is about the most affordable HP's I can find.
