Pics stopped working for a short while. Back up for me.
Great hunt once again. That sausage grinder is going to be busy. |

Figured it out.
I can see them fine now, but then I'm at home on my network. I can't see them at work, where I tried to view them earlier tonight, as this computer isn't authorized to download files over their network. And our pictures are hosted off arfcom, so technically they are downloaded. Since I'm officially on afternoon shift now, after everybody goes home I break out my laptop and surf the web, if everything is running. I'm the head of their maintenance dept. and I prefer to work this shift, as the new guy who thinks he knows it all shows off his lack of skills. Nice shooting SkyPup. |

Upgraded the FoxPro TruckPro TX-1000 transmitter for hog, coyote, rodent, and bird calls. Also installed a two inch lift kit with the Evans Walker race shocks for more ground clearance. And a new fuel injection program for more fuel and power with the Yoshimira header exhaust. Getting ready to hunt in the swamps now! http://www.phossil.com/thom/Night%20Vision/Pioneer%20700/Hondini.JPG View Quote That is simply AWESOME!!! |

It has been raining here constantly non-stop for the past 48 hours (7 inches so far) so I took the FoxPro TruckPro out of the UTV and hooked it up to the computer and reprogrammed it with the new FoxPro Programming Utility Version 4.6.54 that was released in June.
Created ten categories: 1. Birds 2. Crows 3. Coyotes 4. Rabbit Distress 5. Hogs 6. Calf Distress 7. Kitten Distress 8. Goat Distress 9. Owls 10. Sirens Those contain 195 FoxPro Sounds for calling! What a great setup! _________________ |

Was out on my stand with the IR Patrol helmet mount and IR MKII-35 for two minutes when a sounder of some larger sows and pigs showed up, took out this sow at 125 yards with the .308, was too heavy for me to lift alone so had to get the tractor to bring her back for processing tonight, lots of good sausage off this one! http://www.phossil.com/thom/Night%20Vision/IR%20Defense/MK%20Hog/MK%20and%20Patrol.jpg http://www.phossil.com/thom/Night%20Vision/IR%20Defense/MK%20Hog/MKII%20Hog.jpg http://www.phossil.com/thom/Night%20Vision/IR%20Defense/MK%20Hog/MK%20Patrol%20Hog%20Grapple.jpg http://www.phossil.com/thom/Night%20Vision/IR%20Defense/MK%20Hog/Hot%20MK%20Hog.jpg View Quote Will you adopt me? |

When ya wake up early Sunday morning and slap some wild hog sausages into the skillet and relaize you are running low, just look at the breakfast nook window for a fresh supply on the hoof! http://www.phossil.com/thom/Night%20Vision/Nick%20Hog/Dom%20Backyard.jpg http://www.phossil.com/thom/Night%20Vision/Nick%20Hog/Dom%20Backyard2.jpg View Quote Awesome, I've always thought it would be cool to sit out on the back porch and shoot hogs and you're actually doing it lol. Unfortunately, just sitting on my back deck with a rifle would elicit a SWAT response . |

Don't ya think it's better
Livin' in the country? Spendin' our time Waitin' on the weather So all our friends can go hunting together. Yeah! |

I was raised in the country, it's definitely the only place to live. Now that I'm a city dweller, I hate it even more. I do not understand how people actually enjoy it, it's truly mind boggling. Unfortunately, there's no way I can afford to get back out of the city so I'm stuck until a miracle occurs. For now I just gotta live vicariously through pictures like yours so keep it up!! |

Man, these moccasins are just plain nasty, this cottonmouth was all coiled up with his fangs pointing towards the sky when a 9mm hit his head. http://www.phossil.com/thom/Night%20Vision/Nick%20Hog/Cottonmouth.JPG Snake boot time. View Quote Yikes, you aren't already wearing snake boots?? I wonder if they make alligator boots too? LOL (the kind that protect you from gator bites not made out of gator hides...unless.... the alligator can't bite through gator hide, then they could be both gator boot gator boots ) |
|
Perfect size hogs for the Q. Sausage will be nice too. Good shoot. Now find that big one.
|
|
They will be tail-gate food for the Gator football game this weekend!

Either pissed off or buzzard bait. Is he a cut boar? Hard to tell in that pic but almost looks like it.

Oh yeah!! Mine wasn't comin home without one. And it's been one of the nicest things to have around when clearing off property.
I hafta say I'm a bit jealous of all that "good time" ya got in the back yard and those toys. Sold mine off when I moved outta the mountains down to the coast and quit huntin for a few years. Whot an idgit. Back at it again now, tho'. d:^) |
|
I always thought I had some pretty cool toys.
But now I feel like going back to Tonka trucks and legos. I am incredibly jealous! |

But you guys are killin me with that FLIR and NV. My old setup was a PVS14, a Gen2+ scope, a Torch and a standard laser.
And with that l'il bit'o'gear I thought I was livin mighty well. They've got hogs at my old hunt club I rejoined with this year. So we'll see where it goes. Right now Ima live a l'il thru Skypup and other's gyrations. d:^) |

Have been after a big 350+ lb boar hog for over a week now and swatted a lot of mosquitoes while waiting for him. Have seen him a few times but never long enough for a shot. He has been in some inaccessible swampy areas that I had to take the tractor and build a road out into to be able to get in there. His hangout has been a large remote sinkhole where he beds down and roots around. I park my UTV with the FLIR M-324 Pan/Tilt thermal 75 yards out adjacent to the sinkhole and sit and wait for him to show up. http://www.phossil.com/thom/Night%20Vision/IR%20Defense/Sinkhole%20Hog/Hondini%20Sinkhole2.jpg http://www.phossil.com/thom/Night%20Vision/IR%20Defense/Sinkhole%20Hog/Hondini%20Sinkhole.jpg I have been patiently waiting to put a .308 slug though his head with my SIG 716 and IRD MKII 35mm for quite some time now with no luck. Tonight when I parked at my recently bulldozed trail, he left me a fresh turd right where I park....so I new he was near. However, he did not show and instead a sounder showed and came down out of the hardwoods which have recently been dropping acorn on down to the sinkhole for some water right 75 yards in front of me at night. Only managed to kill one, but will work on the kill video through the IRD thermal scope and post that later.....lots of fun tonight all by my lonely self and still have the big boy to hunt too! http://www.phossil.com/thom/Night%20Vision/IR%20Defense/Sinkhole%20Hog/MKII%20Sinkhole%20Hog.jpg http://www.phossil.com/thom/Night%20Vision/IR%20Defense/Sinkhole%20Hog/M324%20Sinkhole%20Hog.jpg http://www.phossil.com/thom/Night%20Vision/IR%20Defense/Sinkhole%20Hog/Hot%20Sinkhole%20Hog.jpg http://www.phossil.com/thom/Night%20Vision/IR%20Defense/Sinkhole%20Hog/Hog%20Hondini.jpg View Quote Dang SkyPup, you need to contact the Outdoor Channel and get your own show.
