THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT me and a few of my friends are looking for a place to help reduce the pig population by some factor. Unfortunately, neither of us have any idea where to start looking. I personally would like to avoid paying $400, plus a per pig fee, just to try my hand at hog hunting, but understand there usually is some exchange of cash in order to do so. Let me know if you know of anyone who has a pig presence/nuisance, and is looking for someone to help get rid of them. |

A friend from South Carolina reporting in with the exact same problem. Me and my friends can't seem to find a farmer or land owner with any hogs, let alone a hog problem.
Patients is a virtue, I guess. |

Look at DNR's map regarding the density of the hog populations, look up WMA land locations, and look up DNR requirements for hunting hogs. Then just put yourself in the right place at the right time... not as fun as private land but you gotta make due sometimes. I struggle with the same issue.

That's true, but I ship to basic training soon and wanted to go on my first hunt before I go. You can't hunt on WMA year round, correct?
