Wanted to make a trip out last night before back surgery Tuesday to see if we could get some more video I could edit on while I'm laying around afterwards. Garrett is our archery expert and shoots a lot of the video while we're hunting. I didn't feel like humping a rifle around and it was his turn to kill something so we swapped and I took the camera and he had the gun.

We were out on a big piece of property cruising through in his jeep and we came around the corner and there were about 15 hogs right on the edge of the field next to a pond. We backed up, got out and stalked in. Garrett was super excited and was rushing in but I had to tell him to slow down. With the night vision you can get in real close as long as you move slowly and quietly.

We got up within about 20 yards of the closest one and Garrett took down the biggest one out there that turned out to be a big sow, probably 180lbs or so. Several of them broke and came running right towards us. I'm not sure how many shots Garrett took but it was several. The turned and took off to our right and Garrett rolled the biggest one about 15 yards from us. He hit another one that we didn't see last night but I saw it on the video when I watched it this morning.

We went back out there and found it piled up about 50 yards from where we were standing, about a 60lb piebald. That's why you only see two in the picture from last night. All in all it was a pretty good night.

You may all go to hell, and I will go to Texas
