Here's some maps to some of the places. There is also Corps of Engineer land that allows hunting. You'll need to check out each place individually because different places have different rules as far as hunting seasons, weapons allowed, etc.

Upon doing more research i find that you are doing things the right way. You have to buy the $25 licence. Then you have to buy the $48 dollar APH licence. The APH gives you acces to the public hunting lands. Free I guess was used as a loose term for no lease. |

and depending what part of the syate you are in it may not be worth the $48. you could be a long ways from any of the properties. I did it a few years for dove and duck. I don't remember being real impressed with the choices.
