I am going to name my Russian new best friend Nikita Koloff when I get him back from the taxidermist.

Nikita Koloff (aka 'The Russian Nightmare') was the big bad professional wrestler from the 80s and 90s.

Each Russian (wrestling Nikita and boar Nikita) were alpha, dominant males in a group of dominant males so the name fits.

he is doing ministry now http://www.nikitakoloff.com/
he changed his legal name to nikita koloff so when he showed his drivers license at airline/hotel/car rental he would be the same guy and would drive around listening to russian speech 8 track tapes. when he ordered at restaurant or checked into hotel he would speak to people in broken english with russian accent http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nikita_Koloff

he is the man... made his money and got out of wrestling.

This is the Nikita Koloff I hear when I think about my Russian trophy boar http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cPVOmB0p0SA#t=1m36s

Nikita Koloff - 200lb Russian Trophy Boar and Wrestler - The Russian Nightmare Tag Team

Both are 'EVIL' Russian Alpha-Male Warriors so the name is perfect.

Wrestling promos and hog attacks. Good stuff.

I hear 'the' Nikita Koloff's voice whenever I think of 'my' Nikita Koloff.

Nikita Koloff is home with me and he wanted to say, Hello!

" target="_blank">

=====

Nikita is very proud of his 3" cutters so I thought I would show them better. (I measured them and yes, they are 3 inches)

" target="_blank">

=====

When women come over and see Nikita they are horrified and refer to him as looking like a 'movie monster' and wondering out loud why I would have Nikita on the wall. In one case I had to put a plastic bag over Nikita for the woman to come into the same room (I am not making this up or trying to be funny although it is funny).

For once, I held my tongue and did not say to that woman what I was thinking which was, "Ok, honey, you look like a sow but I have low standards and still want to have sex with you and I do not put that plastic bag on your head"!

=====

All that being said, the reality of the situation is that Nikita does look like a movie monster but I dont want him to hear that so he doesnt develop low self esteem.

Looking back, it was a calm, cold blooded kill shot.

I don't think that any amount of training can prevent people from getting excited, I think it's almost all personality type. My hunting buddy still gets excited and shakes every time he shoots something, and that after killing hundreds of somethings. Lots of other guys I hunt with do too.

I on the other hand, don't get overly excited ever, I don't startle at loud noises and I don't jump when people try to scare me. I also make my best shots when under pressure. The few seconds before I shoot it seems like time slows down and everything moves very fluidly. The crosshairs seem like they're stuck to the target and unlike when I'm target shooting or sighting in a rifle, I don't think about breathing, keeping steady, pulling the trigger or anything else, I just do it and all too quickly it's all over.

Congrats on your hog, it's a nice one and welcome to the world of hog hunting!

You are on target. It is a relatively rare personality type that is shown in these situations (especially for a first time hunter). Mental preparation, physical conditioning and 'real life' scenario simulations that I constructed for myself helped out, too.

And everything moves in slow motion for me, too (even though everything is going in high speed before me).

Cabela's Grand Opening in Allen, TX on April 16, 2011.

Brian Quaca {Pigman}, Bill Kilgore {Hunter} and Nikita Koloff {Russian Trophy Boar with 3" Cutters} enjoy an opportunity to take a photo together on a very busy day for Pigman.

Nikita Koloff has a history of anger issues but Pigman's uplifting personality makes even a big, bad, male dominate boar like Nikita smile for the camera.

7 months ago I did not even know who www.pigmantv.com was. Now I drive to Allen with Nikita to take a photo with Pigman.
