Put some coolaid mix and a little water in with the corn next time you fill the pipe. Old fruit works really good too.

He snuck up behind my brother and I a few minutes after I shot the first one. He was 5 yards behind us before we heard him and he us,  he got 2 6.8 from me and 2 5.56 from my brother  at 10 yards as he ran away.

Holy awesomesauce batman!! I gotta admit, I love warthogs, they are so cute but then I would love to bowhunt one.  Probably makes me a bad person but, hey, we all have issues.  Anywho, awesome picture! Dang, I would love to put one of those on the wall.  Do they eat those over there?

What's the story on that hunt?

Hunted with 2 buddies in northern South Africa 3 weeks ago. All archery, I got a kudu, a waterbuck, a wildebeest, a zebra and an impala to go with this boy. We were in sunken, brick/concrete blinds next to water sources. I stuck the hog at about 19 yards, pass through. He ran 40 yards and piled up dead. The hardest was getting the Zebra stallion into position, took half a day for that beast.

Posted the rest of my animals, wife pics, etc. here.

ETA/ it all tasted great. Sampled some of everything we killed, even the pajama donkey (zebra).

Thanks for the advice, like your 5.56 hogs revisited thread! A big boar now visits that pipe at night (caught him on camera) ordered a weapon light and plan to stay one night soon to see if I can light him up. Set up a second pipe yesterday, stuck a banana peel in it, dumped out Kool aid mix and filled with corn. Sat watching it this evening, can't argue the results

First spot we rolled to Tuesday night these rooters were tearing the place up. we got all ten including four babies. Not a single one escaped! We didbt see any more pigs the rest of the night wich was odd. It did get dead calm though wich ive noticed is bad for pig activity.

I took this sow a few years ago in Central Texas, north of Gatesville on a private ranch.  I took about 6 or so hogs off the property in the 2 years I hunted there.  My rifle was a PSA lower and an AR15performance.com 18" 6.8 upper with Trijicon 3x9 glass.  Distance on this harvest was about 35 yards from a stand overlooking a tripod feeder.

Either that's the old "hold the fish way towards the camera" trick or those are big piggies.  Very cool!

You need an industrial size smoker to handle that much pork!
