Was it a wild boar in the game lands up there or was it a "ranch" boar?  Either way, great shot.  I'd love to do some boar hunting somewhere close.

Not much but it's my first one. Taken with a .22 Henry lever action. Wish I could have taken his 250lb buddy but with a .22 I didn't really feel it would drop.

Got this medium sized boar Sunday evening. They ran off the deer, so he paid the ultimate price. It was too dark to wait for a couple to line up for a double. Remington 700 7 Mag., McMillan McSwirly stock, Leupold 3.5-10x40 scope, 140 grain Barnes TSX, VV N560 powder, CCI 250 primer, Remington brass. Heart shot, 40 yard death run by this rootin' bastid.

220lb hog taken in central Texas over the weekend with my Larue OBR (.308) at night.  Ran about 75 yards and crashed into the brush.  Was one of two similar sized hogs taken that night.

My first hog hunt. I'm hooked! She weighed around 100 - 120lbs I imagine, but after dragging her through the rain for over an hour trying to find my way out of the woods after it got dark she felt like 500. I'm ready to get out there and do it all over again.

EDIT:

The rifle used was a Ruger.22lr with a cheap BSA 3x9 scope.

Sounder of about 15 showed up at the feeder about 1:30 AM, during a steady rain. Instead of scattering at the first shot, they just let me blast away.
The little boar was taken at about 90 yards. The small sow at about 140.
I also shot a bigger, piebald sow. She went down and was doing the dirt dance, but while I was tapping the two above, she got back up and took off...the buzzards say she is at the bottom of the hill, in a thicket. Its too dense and wet to get the tractor in there.  No way I was dressing them out in the rain, so the coyotes will get the entire lot.

Shot this guy at about 60 yards with my Rem 700 30-06 and 150gr Interlock. Scope is a Leupold Rifleman 3-9x

The bullet went right through him, the exit wound was just a little larger than the entrance wound. I got a part of the heart. He left me a nice blood trail to follow for about 30 yards.

We didn't have a scale big enough to weight him. It was a b*tch getting him onto the back of my 4-wheeler by myself, took me about an hour and a half. I definitely learned my lesson on this guy. I already bought a 7:1 rope hoist to make things a lot easier for next time

He's a big one but I've seen bigger on my trail cam. I think next time I'm gonna shoot a smaller one though.

This lil fella is the best picture I have of a few hunts.

Taken with these lil guys....

I have said it before in another thread. Nothing more fun then taking a good friend, a good couple dogs and a sharp knife hunting. My good friend so happens to be my dad. He is a beast too.

Yesterday my 8 year old son shot this 140# hog (his 1st) at 30 yards with a 55 grain TSX. As you can see through from the photos, shot placement is key & the TSX did it's job penetrating both lungs before exiting the animal. No tracking necessary. He was assisted by the swamp buggy, a catch dog and Lil' Dale.

Entrance wound.

Exit.
