I'm planning one for late June with a bow, and I'm planning on taking my 10 year old son as an observer. Tell me all I need to know!

Where in Canada are you planning on going? I was just in Ontario for work and had a conversation about moose and bear hunting a few hours north of Sudbury.

Bridle-up one of those mosquitos and have him drag your bear out.

Bring a thermacell and you will have no problems when you're in the stand. They'll still mob you as you walk in and out, though. |

Back in May 2012, we went up to New Brunswick to hunt Spring Bear. Took a Thermacell, head nets and duct tape for our wrists and ankles. Insects up there are brutal.
