So say you were going to sit at your bait site for blacks bears at night to scout a couple big bears to really get a look at them. What color light do you think will not spook them, green or red. I know my hogs get nervous with the green light but are comfortable with the red.

First things first, get a game camera.  You might just spook the bear trying to view them, or they might think you might taste good.   In May, I usually have over 20 bear coming into my bait station 24 hours a day.  The wait in line actually; often I spook them just walking into the stand area, then a cub climbs up my stand tree and ruins my hunting.  I wouldn't  bother with a light, just get a trophy cam.

Invest in a game camera with IR.  They are worth their weight in gold and will tell you whats going on at your bait
