I am looking at getting a set of waders for waterfowl hunting.  I am 6' and 255-260.  I have tried the Cabelas Ultramags in stout and they are just too tight.  Any recommendations as to what someone my size might be comfortable in.  Looking for 1600gram insulate.  Any model of Lacrosse? Banded? Rogers?  any advice would be appreciated.  thanks!

Simms will custom build you a pair. The waders they make are the best in my opinion, bulletproof.

Canelas Big Man Ultimate Wader is the answer! I got a set last year and can finally move and breath in chest waders again. "Only" 1000grms, but with heavy wool socks my feet have not gotten cold even when the dekes are icing up.

Fwiw, stout waders never have long enough inseams to allow you to walk well.

Enjoy!

I am 6'4" , 275 lbs. and have a size 15 foot.  I use the Cabelas Ultramag 1600 waders and love them.  Just like someone already mentioned, the stout sizes do not offer a long inseam and make it difficult to walk.  Hope this helps

Big Man Ultimate.

I used a set this past season to finish out after ripping a hole in my other ones. I'm 6-02/220 and they swallowed me even though I always buy stout sized. I had enough room to wear thick wool socks, sweat pants(even jeans!), two shirts and a jacket INSIDE the waders and still had room to spare.

I have a pair of Lacrosse teal IIs for when it isn't just stupid cold I can get my coat under it if I am going to wade deeper water. I also have a pair Lacrosse mallard II expandables for when it gets really cold. I don't use them often if I am wading I am usually sweating anyway. I am a 5'10" and I found the stouts a little short and the kings too long. I spent a lot of time trying waders on at Final Flight which helped a lot.
