Hunted the 1st season up in Iowa this week. Carried my flintlock 20ga smoothbore on mon and tue but had no luck. Wed brought rain, so opted for the 870/20 ga.
Killed the dominant bird in this flock of 3 toms, a jake and 5-6 hens at 715am. 24.2# on the Berkley digital scales 9 3/4" beard 1 3/8" and 1 7/16" spurs 35 yd shot 870/20 youth model. More I shoot it, more I like it! Comp N Ckoke XXFull choke tube Winchester Supreme #5, 3"
