After harvesting several Ruffed Grouse last fall, I made a short little video on how i prefer to clean grouse.

I've done a few pheasants that way. Ducks, not so much...... thinking about getting the bird hitch.

Thanks for the video.  With any luck at all, I'll be testing that method in Sequoia NF and South Sierra Wilderness, this Sept.

Tag to watch the clip later.

I usually stand on the wings, grab the grouses legs, and stand up.

That's the method I use on quail. Works amazingly well.

Great video. The few I cleaned, I did with a knife like you would breast out a turkey. This looks much easier and cleaner.

So if I get some ducks this year I shouldn't try it on them?

Ive never duck hunted or breasted one out, but i don't think this method works so well on a duck.
