THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT I am looking for a place that would be able to make me custom fit and very warm pants for duck hunting. I am a small (and short) female and the lady Drake line of pants do not fit me right. They are way to long and would be hard to hem. If any of you have information of where I can find a person or company that would make me some pants I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks all |

The very absolute best cold weather duck hunting pants are a base of long underwear of your choice topped with heavy fleece sweat pants under 5mm neoprene waders.
Take the bottom of the pant and cuff it tight to your leg. Pull your socks up over the outside of the pant leg so they stay put when you put your waders on. Hands down the best way to keep warm and dry, as well as be able to get to the goodies when it's time to piss. I have used this combo to be comfy warm hunting an ice opening when the actual temperature was -17F. |

I am on the other end of the spectrum; 6'4' and 290 lbs. and I understand the frustration of clothes that don't fit right. I usually buy longer and bigger and have them tailored to fit me and how I like to wear them. I'm afraid that custom made clothing to fit you will be very expensive. I will agree with the above post though. I wear fleece wader pants that have stirrups under my 5mm neoprene waders and my days of being cold in the duck blind are gone. They do get hot quickly though. Good luck!

Duck hunting, same setup. Just use waders instead of bibs.
If not to cold, I skip the fleece sweats. As I usually am drenched inside waders from sweating. |
