We don't have many pheasant in Iowa and we have a friend that went to school in SD. He has some private land for us to hunt.

The first day we didn't do that well, one of the guys had a brand new gun and was having trouble hitting birds. The other guy was using one of my guns and he hadn't shot at anything in the air but clays. We got four birds that day. The second day the wind was whipping good and the birds held a bit tighter. The dog I was hunting (there is a thread about it here) really came into his own and that helped a ton. We were able to limit out on Sunday, didn't seem to me the numbers were down but what do I know. Here are a few pictures that I have as I get more I"ll post them. These are the cell phone ones I have.

These are all our birds.

We were 6 miles south of Huron, I'm not sure what county that is.

We hunt about 15-20 miles west of Redfield and love it out there!
