Our upland season doesn't start until the first week of October.
I did flush a covey of quail yesterday while walking the alfalfa feild yesterday.

The cold front up north and the strong 20+mph wind really kept the birds moving. Hunted a flooded cow pasture about 1/8 mile from the river. The decoyed exceptionally well! 5 man limit, 35 birds by 0940. Sunday was much slower due to no wind. This types of days are rare for us!
