I squeezed in a last minute duck hunt and zeroed on ducks but ended up with a bonus greater Canada. It is going to look great on my wall.  My hunting partners also killed a drake wood duck and a widgeon(?).

Very nice!
Our upland season doesn't start until the first week of October.

Piled em up this weekend. The cold front up north and the strong 20+mph wind really kept the birds moving. Hunted a flooded cow pasture about 1/8 mile from the river. The decoyed exceptionally well! 5 man limit, 35 birds by 0940. Sunday was much slower due to no wind.

This types of days are rare for us!

Today was a good day that just kept getting better and better.  Morning hunt: lots of birds.  Lunch.  2 hour siesta.  Evening hunt: flush 3 roosters (get one), bump 2 coveys of quail, bring down two.

About two minutes before sunrise, about 100 yards out of the truck.  Dickens County Bobs...one of only two coveys that day.
