So I pulled my traps on the day after the last day of the season for unforseen reasons. In the last week or so I've started getting everything ready for the new hunting season. Food plots, cameras, and mineral pits.

I went around the land looking at the trap sites, and noticed that in several of the sites. There's cat shit in front of where the traps were set in. I also found what appears to be a scratch post on a small cedar tree, and the little kitties decided to make a toilet in the middle of one of my trails!

What the hell does this mean? Am I busted? Are these cats smarter than me? Whats going on? Did I do such a good job on the coyote this year that they moved in, or what?

I plan to hit cats hot, and heavy this year so any advise will be well taken.

They are marking over whatever scents you were using for attractants / the scent of what you were catching in your traps.  It is a good thing that they want to linger in the area that you have your traps set.
