So I drive quite a bit around Virginia.  I've only ever seen 2 coyotes dead on the side of the road.

Last weekend I drove to Charleston SC.  On the drive back I saw 5 dead yotes on the side of the interstate, all of them in North Carolina.  3 of them near Ft. Bragg and the other 2 were on I40 heading to Raleigh.

Does NC have some sort of stupid coyote that runs in front of cars or do they just have a lot more coyotes?

Second I'm guessing they were mostly younger dogs kicked out of the den or territory as the pups are about to be born this spring.  Does that explain why they were on the move, in unfamiliar territory and running across roads?

We see them pretty regularly dead on the side of the road down here. They're all over the place though down here though. Nearly as bad as the fire ants.

I live in a suburb and I think they are just getting used to seeing people and cars around, I have seen a couple running around in a field without a care in the world.

Can we get the coyotes to teach the Yankees how to do this?

Yeah, whether they return or not, there's little difference.

Those that I can tolerate are referred to as a "northerner".
