I like putting wire snares in fence lines.  Yotes are extreme suckers for a snare.  If you have field wire fences and can find where they go through you can catch them.

This guy knows coyote killin'.

Popped this little bitch last week. I think they've been feeding on the rabbits I've been popping. This one was shot at about 45 yards. Gun is a Colt Gold Cup .22, ammo was CCI stingers. Ran about 25 yards and piled up.
Round entered on the right side, near the back of the rib cage and exited just behind the left shoulder.

That is amazing that a 22lr from a handgun would go through & through. I shot a coyote with Q3131 (5.56 nato) from an AR15 at 75~ yards and to my surprise the bullet did not exit.

notebook on my handloads, cold bore fouled shot ect. I prefer a fouled bore cold shot. really if ya handload alot of barrels like certain stuff. 52 gr Sierra.HPBT. being my favorite. Lowers are good to go with all uppers. I prefer SPIKE's lowers, WOA tuned RRA triggers. under 200 yds. it's a free put. anything around 50 gr. is a POP if I do my end. I like Reloader 10, Varget extruded powders, rem. 7 1/2 primers. 1-7....1-8..........1-9 twist barrels.

I throw diff. lights on at times for night work. uppers are night and day work. night time 50-75 yards.

then again I'm just an old FUDD Hillbilly.

these are kind a 5 shot group at 100 your lookin for. all barrels vary to a degree on what they like......try and find a " happy load "

then you dial in.

Recent encounters with a Coyote outside my back gate where I feed the smaller critters table scraps and such have brought in scouts from the pack.

My Aimpoint was not yet zero'd, and my shot hit the fence post within inches of a head shot. The shot went through the post so I'm not sure if I grazed it.

There was no blood so I'm guessing he/it/they will be back for more freebees.

During the nights all around us there are several packs of Coyotes howling in the distance. Is baiting them something that will bring them in? Lets find out.
I just got back from the butcher with pig entrails and such that I'm planning to hang in a tree at about 5' by means of mesh netting.

This should do the trick to draw them in, I hope. I won't miss this time. The first to get shot will also be hanging.

Who knows, my doing so may bring in bigger predator.

Stake a humane society cat out there on a 10' lead and it will do all the work without the mess.  If its not moving enough, tease it with a laser pointer so the coyotes can see the movement.

One of the gang was walking in the dark to a tree stand in a dense live oak understory and spotted this boar hog off to the side with the helmet mounted FLIR M-24 and shot it at 150 yards when it crossed the trail using the FLIR RS64-60mm ThermoScope and left it there and climbed up into the 15 foot tree stand.

Fifteen minutes later he hears some barking and thinks some hunting dogs are nearby, but then all hell breaks loose 150 yards from him with yelping, barking, and howling. Looks over through the thermal and a pack of coyotes are attacking his recently deceased hog and trying to drag the carcass off deeper into the woods. Got down out of tree stand and went to go rescue the hog as the dogs were going wild in the dark. Saw the dogs in the thermal but too dense to shoot. It was all over in about three minutes when he got there and they took off, however this is the damage the coyote pack did to the hog in less than 3 minutes......

Another two minutes and they would have ripped the boar hogs head off!

On the front is a FLIR Government Systems military contract M-24 640X512 TAU 2.7 thermal core attached to a Nortoros INVG mount using a Wilcox dovetail adapter to the Team Wendy Ex-Fil helmet. This allows me to see in the dark about three times the distance of automobile high beam headlamps without anything seeing me, every living thing that has a body temperature different than the brush and trees stands out like a sore thumb.

Then there is a variety of IR 850nm emitters on my helmet including two for long range ID illumination and three or four Princeton Tec IR's for short range handiwork. Also on top is an IR blinking emitter to signal others NV hunters of my location.

Just put your cat or cats in a wire trap. They'll still be able to use you for food the next day.

FoxPro TruckPro Electronic Caller showed up just in time for a long weekend so I'll have some time for the installation and first use now that this weekend is the last of the deer season.

Have to say that I am extremely impressed with the quality and feel of this unit, the packaging was phenomenal and everything arrived shipshape and ready to go. The new T-1000 remote is a work of art, hats off to FoxPro Staff for a very nice ergonomic and easy to use first class instrument.

I just ordered it with the standard sounds on it since I already have hundreds of 24bit sounds of all the coyotes, hogs, birds, rodents, etc that I need from my other Prairie Blasters.

This thing is going to rock, in particular I really like the install ON two button remote that instantly plays two selected sounds when programmed. The new FoxPro Programming Utility is going to get a couple new sequences added in with it too....

Very very nice unit, can't wait to install it this weekend and use it on some night hunts!

I have have to try to serenade some song dogs/hogs with some rap music since this ghetto-blaster plays MP3s too!
