Is there any way you can get your hands on anything larger than a .17HMR?
Not to say that it won't work, I'm not trying to open that can of worms, but it isn't the best choice out there for either critter. ETA: My reading comprehension sucks tonight, I didn't see the AR listed also. I'd leave the .17 at home and stick with the AR. |

Yeah, I own a 17HMR and love it, but wouldn't use it one a yote or bobcat if I had a choice. You can take yotes with it, but you better be good at head shots. |

If you do your calling right, your camo right, and set up your stands properly. Then everyone should be within shotgun distance.

I would chang the shot for the shotgun.. #4 buck 3" 41 243cal pellets.
