Cool pics...I have a question about scopes mounted on a flat top with a fixed front sight.  Do you see the front sight through the scope?  I was going to mount a 3-9x40 on my BM Dissy with a fixed front sight but didn't think about how it would interfere with the sight picture?

Ok a little searching today and I found out the answer to the above question.  No problem having the fixed front sight with a scope.

Not quite yet. After the legislative session ends in July, THEN it will be legal. At that time, we'll also no longer have magazine restrictions, except for the migratory birds that are still federally protected.

Pappyo, I still love that setup.  I started working on my own tripod.  It'll make life so much nicer in my natural blinds!  I am waiting for a couple more components for my AR.  I decided to split the difference and get a Fluted Black Stainless 18" barrel.  I already installed the rifle length YHM rail.  I'll post some pics of the beast as soon as the modifications are made.  I'm going to take her out this weekend and shoot rats and possums around an old barn on a piece of property I have available to hunt.

Those are some big ol' chuck balls there, Maynard. Fry 'em up?

Good to see your kills, BTW - I look forward to you and PAPPYO posting your kills every summer.

First time hunting with my recent build on a suppressed hunt.

M16a4 clone w/ ACOG TAO1NSN

I really didn't like the front heavy of the gun. Even without the suppresser, the gun is very heavy. I might end up taking off the rail and everything and installing something lighter or go with my carbine. I plinked some P-dogs, but sadly just missed a yote. Rizzo beat me to the shot

Imma try my Colt 602 clone on my next trip Just for fun I might try calling with my dad in UT this weekend and see if i can get a shot with it!

Old rifle paint job with irons on (I hunt in s. Texas so this blended in pretty dang good actually)

Been hunting in east Texas more and needed a bit more green,  still does good down south.

I need a flip up rear sight so I dont have to swap out both when I want irons.  Some of those 45-degree angle quick sights would be pretty useful for coyote hunting I think
30rd magazine and cheap bi-pod for the piggy ambush

RRA EO2 16", 1/9, with a 9" Troy Alpha, cheap bipod, Nikon M223 1"mount, Leupold 3x9 tac AR, new buttplate for the MS3, had the 3 front slight mounts on my gas block along with the small rail section that was there from the factory ground off and blued/waxed to reduce some weight.  Nice rifle for a 5.56/223 hunting rig.

A couple pics of the 6.5mm Grendel. My son and i worked on this build jow just trying now to get its first kill on some local pigs. He's hunted with me since he was six but recently we switched to Modern Sporting Rifles. I decided to build two for this years hunt. We finished the first grendel a couple weeks ago now finishing the second this week. There for local pigs and deer.

This is him out on a pig hunt with me last weekwend holding our Windham Weapons 5.56mm carbine.
