I posted this in GD already but figured it was worth a repost here.

So 5 of my 6 kids got a deer tag for for the world famous Kaibab Plateau....for the junior doe hunt.

We started out opening day getting two.

Then the next day we got one more and some rappelling done

Then we followed it up getting two more the next day.

All the deer were one shot kills with 3 of then being taken by a .243 (kid's rifle) and 2 with a 6.5x284 Norma. The shots were anywhere from 20 yards out to 200. For 4 of the 5 kids it was their 1st deer. It was definitely one of the best hunts I have ever been a part of.

They wanted to try out the hardened killer look on this picture.

I used to throw in the repelling, rock climbing also.

Am I seeing the girls out hunted the boys? Can I assume they cleaned their own kills?

Yep girls 3 deer, boys 2...Everyone helped gut and drag out their deer. All the kids got their hands bloody. Most of them helped at home getting them cut up and processed too.
