5 in the mag plus 2-3 in a pocket. It's come in handy; if I fumble one, two, or God forbid the whole magazine with snow on the ground, I can just let it go.
Plus I tend to see more than my fair share of coyotes. |

Typically 10 rounds of 30-06 for a big game hunt. I've never fired more then 1 round on a hunt though.

One year that we went deer hunting in Wyoming,my friend Bill,took THREE rounds for his 6.5X06.
...he killed a nice mule deer buck and took the remaining 2 rounds home.
