I figured most anything out of the beowulf would get the job done. Really wondering about meat loss/damage. What round would be the best to make a clean kill and not have excessive meat loss.

Treat it like a slug gun and shoot a little back from the shoulder. A double lung away from the shoulder will certainly be fatal, the deer may just run a bit before dropping. Last year I shot a yearling on a population control hunt with a 12 gauge Hornady 300 gr FTX slug. Going back a bit through the lungs produced zero real meat loss, and completely destroyed the lungs and diaphragm. Deer ran 25ish yards before dropping, and the blood trail was impressive, like someone was throwing out handfuls of red paint. This was a fairly small deer, and if I had hit him in the shoulder I would have lost some meat for certain.
While I have no direct experience with the Beowulf cartridge, I imagine a 300 gr Hornady XTP out of a .50 Beowulf would produce similar results as a 12 gauge in a double lung shot on a deer.

Which is cheaper? Which one does your rifle prefer? I think either will perform well.
