I know this is prolly not the right place but i was unable to o pen the archery part of the site on my phone. My apologies. Basically i am curious what the ballpark fps my bow is shooting. I was going to take a guess of just shy of 300 but i do not have a chrony to verify.

Bow is a mathews drenaline @ 72# with 29" cam.
Arrow is easton axis nfuse @ 29 1/4". 400 spine @9 gpi. With 100 grain tips.
String has a peep, kisser, and d loop.

Thanks for any help.

I use this calculator all the time and found it to be within +/- 2 fps of actual chronographed speed.

I would say you're using a 430 grain total weight arrow (21 grain insert, 9 grain nock, 40 grains vanes). With a 320 fps IBO speed for your bow, you're looking at around

284 fps
77 ft-lbs energy

>66 ft-lbs energy is considered the minimum to hunt dangerous game, like Cape Buffalo and Grizzly Bear.

Looks like someone already did the calculations.
.400 spline seems a little weak for your set up. I'd go with a .340.
But, if if shoots well stick with it.
