It has been my experience with your stated 25 yd impact point, your bullet is likely to hit quite a bit higher than you expect at 100yds.
You may want to get that bullet to hit 1 - 3" low at 25yds and then see where that gets it to hit at 100yds. |

You will have to come down a lot of clicks to even hit paper at 100. |

They are correct. Your scope is generally 1.5"-2" above your barrel and that will make your shots out to 100 yards slightly low. They curve of the bullet if zeroed at 100yards will crest around 100 yards and begin to fall again.
For example this is a representation of the bullet flight of my .308 with 175 gr SMK's Yds drop 025 0.7" 050 0.1" 075 0.1" 100 0.0" 125 0.4" 150 1.2" 175 2.3" 200 3.8" 225 5.6" 250 7.9" As you see it never raises above my zero at 100 yards If you sight it in at 50 yards it will be dead on at 50 and will impact 0.3" high at 100 then be back to zero at 125. Sorry if this is confusing. |
