Nice deer, huge, but they have to be adding the inside spread to the inches because 213 inches looks like:

I won't argue with you guys because I know about as much about measuring deer antlers as I know about nuclear physics so I'll try and get details on the measuring, who did it, etc. whenever my Dad gets back from his trip. I'll also get more details on the ranch for whoever asked if it was a "high fence/enclosed" ranch. First thing I did when I heard the numbers was Goodle Image search the Milo Hansen buck.

If I don't reply in a day or two shoot me a PM - I have a high tendency to have a one track mind and forget about shit.

Got an update from my dad now that he's home. The score i got was relayed to me from my mom. The ranch scored it 203 7/8 but the taxidermist said it was scored wrong. They gave it 192 7/8. Apparently the ranch measured around the entire left base as the g1 or whatever and got 8 off that alone. When measured correctly it lost 4 from that alone. Also it used to be called the unicorn buck because it used to have a point that came straight out of his head down almost to his nose.

That deer is not my dads either just so everyone knows. My dad killed one that was given a 138 or so. I'll post pics of that when i get home. The "trophy fee" on the big deer would make most people throw up. More than some people make in a year. Definitely not worth it to me.

The ranch is a privately owned 8ft fenced 6,500 acres. Thirty two stands on the land. No pens just the overall property fully fenced in. Was fenced 3 years ago over a period of 60 days. Prior to that it hadn't been hunted in over a decade. Only 4 people are given permission to hunt it per year outside of friends and family. No genetically enhanced deer, no pens, cages, etc.

First buck with my Savage ML II. Sorry for the somewhat bloody pic's it was 9* and I was freezing my butt off.

My trophy doe. Easily out weighted any buck we got.

Seen this driving down the interstate and it made me laugh

Here's the deer my Dad got from that trip yesterday.  Should be 141 after they "correct" the broken tip. 136 or something beforehand. Beautiful 8 in my opinion.

Thanks HAG and Matt... I have been chasing ducks for the last decade and deer have been kind of secondary in my pursuits. This buck reminded me how intense moments in deer hunting can be. He ate behind a pine tree for about 15 minutes before offering me a shot. After he was on the ground it seriously took me 5 minutes for me to gather myself and get down from the stand. I shook until I got to him, appx. 80 yards from my stand. I think I might have gotten addicted to deer hunting again!

Thats a nice one. I agree on the second rut thing cause I watched about 80% of the bucks this past weekend chasing the does around again. It was all the young bucks though. The bigger, older bucks were all about the food.

That's a great buck!

I'm still like that after years of deer hunting. I'm even like that if I shoot a doe.

What's funny is that I'm cool as a cucumber until right AFTER the shot, then I fall apart. I start shaking and my teeth chatter like it is below zero out –– even if it is 70 degrees. You should have seen me trying to text my friends this year immediately after I shot my buck.

Thanks alot M4. Your buck is equally impressive too!

I had two buddies hunting in other stands that evening and I couldn't type a coherent text either!!!

I rough, and I mean ROUGH scored him today and got 159 3/4 gross, 151 net.

Bagged this 14 point opening evening in Kansas. 275-ish yard fontal neck shot, couldn't wait any longer, from my Sako TRG22.

Roughed him out at 158" net. Taxidermist is supposed to get me score sometime, he told me my figure was a few inches too low.

It's kinda hard to get perspective on him, field dressed weight was 230lbs.

Over in Osage county.

Kansas has given me 3 good bucks, all in the mid 150's to low 160's, in 5 trips. I certainly can't complain.

My lease has myself, and two other buddies on it.

One of my buddies is still on active duty, his house/family are here, and he is stationed Kalifornia.

I've been keeping his feeder full for him, and on Thanksgiving day, I put my game cam up at his feeder, knowing he was coming home this week to hunt.

This weekend I went down to the lease to get my last doe, and pick up the chip from the camera.

I went through 3912 pictures last night, and these are 3 of the best that were on there.

A beautiful 9 point.

He can't wait to get down there!

Of course, I'm very jealous!!!

We also have an Axis deer running around down there too (heard him this weekend).

Good job keeping his feeders going and scouting for him while he's out of town.

Here is a 10 pointer that weighed 126 dressed that I shot on the opening day of Southern Zone here in NY. I was sitting down for 10 minutes when he came walking in to a doe bleat. One shot with my Ithaca 16 gauge Deerslayer and down he went.

Here is a 115 pound doe I shot on the last weekend of muzzleloading season. I killed her in almost the same spot I shot the 10 pointer. I was using my Euro Arms 1853 Enfield Musketoon in .577 caliber. She was 100 yards out and I nailed her as I jumped her and a second doe. I got her in the neck and she dropped on the spot.

The 16 gauge is an old timer, a deluxe version made in 1971. I inherited it from my uncle about 10 years ago when he gave up hunting. Besides deer, it has taken ruffed grouse by the dozens and one really big coyote.

the northeast does seem to "grow" big deer. but we still have small ones too

that buck is interesting though, surprised it had 10 points with such little antler mass and so little weight (still a great deer!)

the ten point i got this year was 150lbs, and considered small

im curious where in the southern zone it was taken

here's my last deer of the season that I shot in november here in montana. it was my 5 time out trying to fill my white tail doe tag and my last chace to do so before the season ended. Hopefully I can get my mulelly buck on here too. I shot this one kneeling at 100 yards with my FN SPRA1 in 308 using federal 150 gr sp red box loads from wally world. they are the ceapest loads I could find that I could afford to practice with at $14 a box and surprisingly they can do around .6moa in my rifle at 300 yards. I killed 3 deer with this load in this rifle this year. One mule doe was at 426 yards (thats the last accurate range we got with the range finder it might have been farther.) and a mule buck at a little over 200 yards.

I forgot my tarp and my cucv blazer has carpet in the bed. See all the blood? thats why I put it on the hood. Didnt want to mess up the carpet. lol I discovered that even in montana I'm the only one who still straps a deer to the hood. You sould have seen some of the smiles and dropped jaw looks I got. lol
