I have found this site
http://aprs.mountainlake.k12.mn.us

What do you Hams think?  Is it a reliable source of information or should you take it with a grain of salt.

How do they plot this info?

Its mostly reliable based off actual heard aprs beacons.
I said mostly because sometimes those packets are a one way street.

Eta: still, if you see the red blob spin the dial and chase the dx! Its a great feeling to make contacts via simplex or distant repeater.

It is a great site. It works by reporting APRS beacons heard on a single hop. So it is naturally tuned to 144.390 but works great to give an overall idea of the band condition

I find it to be perfectly accurate. I check it daily.
