Whats that spacing formula? Something like 1/4 spacing at the lower frequency?

You are going to tip over with all those antennas on the trunk.

damn son, how many calls have you gone through?  I tried to look you up (based on the license plate) and got lost in the rabbit hole for 10 minutes before I landed on your current call.  Are you single-handedly funding the fcc with change fees?

Having that much stuff around the dash would drive me crazy...which was a purchasing point of my current vehicle.

Mine is not going to really have HF (per-say) when it's all said and done. I have been thinking about a custom made screwdriver though.

For what you have to work with, I think it looks pretty good.

Could build a super collider with all those magnets.  Jk, very nice.  Just thinking thru the logistics on an install for hf in the truck.  Good job..

Thanks. Logistics is why I went with the atas. I already had the 857d so it was a moot point. Now fitting the head onto the dash... that's what took forever. I finally bought some 1.5" L-brackets and bent them in my vise until they were an acceptable angle then mounted the remote bracket to the L's and to the dash

Uniden 510/520 are awesome little 11m rigs. (If you're into that sort of thing)

It really is. I am on the road a LOT traveling throughout the state and real time traffic reports helps a lot.

I think I paid 30 bucks for the radio and 15 for the antenna. It's helps me avoid construction all of the time.

I use them for work more than anything else cuz I am parked on the side of, or near a road and they draw a significant less amount of power than my hazards.

Haha. I know not what you are talking about.

I only pull mine out when I'm working races usually.
