I have an Icomm 208h I can't transmit through repeaters on. I can receive just fine. I have the offset correct, and the tone is correct to the repeaters I'm trying to use. Or at least I'm pretty sure I do. Tone Squelch is not on. Any Idea what I'm doing wrong? Can someone help me out?

PL might have changed. what repeater are you trying to hit (call sign or town repeater is in)?

EDIT, you do have the radio set so it is txing the PL, right?

146.88 but it actually comes in much clearer at 146.975 DUP- set and tone 100.
447.000 I have DUP- set and tone 123

I try some of the other local repeaters too, but these seem to be the most active.

I must have another setting wrong. I just can't figure it out. Could it be an antenna issue?

Actually the repeater I'm picking up is 146.970 not 146.880, but still no Tx

From your name and state, I'm assuming you're in Vegas.

The 146.970 repeater here in Vegas isn't used too much, and it can be flaky at times.  Some friends and I use it on weekday mornings, but otherwise it can be dead for hours.  Confirm your 600 kHz offset (-) (so transmit is on 146.190), and the tone is 100 Hz.  I must be dyslexic.  You said .97 and I read .79.  I don't use the 146.97, so not sure there.

To confirm your radio is TXing in simplex, and if you don't have another radio to monitor with, you can usually raise someone on 146.52 here in town. It ties to a UHF remote base, so you get great coverage.

The 447.000 repeater is pretty active.  (-) 123.0 Hz.

You get your repeater problems figured out? There is a net on tonight at 5:30 if you want to stop in and say hi. We be on the repeater for a few hours.
