Most of the repeaters in Amarillo have about at 40-50 mile range. The best one will only talk about as far north as Dumas, south as far as Happy. I've never really been along the I40 corridor outside of the mall in Amarillo so I can't really tell you how far west or east they go. I can say most of the 2m repeaters do cover the boy's about 30 miles north-west of town.

I've never tried anything out there towards Caprock…Santa Rosa doesn't even have a repeater out there.
