Elecraft Panadapter?

I have a PX3 that should be here this evening when the brown santa arrives.

ETA, the PX3 was not on the truck.  But the KPXA100 was.    Hopefully the tracking showing a package tomorrow will be the PX3.

I run two of these on wall mounts if you need help picking one out.  Lots of choices on displays.  I've had mine for a while so surely better ones for less now.

ETA:  Are you going to have it before Thanksgiving and the CW contest that weekend?

While that monitor seems really nice, I suspect I can save some money by not having built in speakers.

I recently bought my wife a Samsung 24 " monitor at staples for under $150

I'm glad you are doing well again!

I love my PX3!

I have to say a modern pan adapter is a game changer for HF.

I'll be doing both... I need a computer monitor for it too.  And a wall mount for both of my monitors, and a spare USB keybord for the P3.  This thing just keeps getting more expensive

Built in about 90 minutes, installed in less than 15 minutes.  Now I get to figure the darn thing out

I also got the 2.1 kHz roofing filter.  That will come in handy at times too.

Just in time for the CW contest!  That's one way to learn it with on the job training.

Well, how is it?  Enquiring minds want to know!

I've only made one contact because I sit here with an A-B switch comparing my Flex and the old TS-830S that I'm working on.  The old Kenwood hears well but it sure needs aligned to be 100%.

It's really cool. I enjoy going from spike to spike. However there is a bit of a learning curve. I am really enjoying it so far.

You'll like it even more when trying to bag DX stations who are working split.

It is really cool when you see a new spike pop up.  You can almost make out the pattern in the waterfall if they pause a little.  CQ CQ CQ    CQ 40 meters    Set your marker over it, QSY, and listen for a minute.

Ok so P3 owners, what do you have your FN1-FN8 set to?

Don't use them.  Actually, I hardly use any of the buttons.

For everyday use, leave the span set to 40 kHz (+/- 20kHz from the green line), and I keep the frequency set to the middle of the CW portion of each band.   For instance, I keep the frequency set to 21.020.0 on 15M.  That way, I can see virtually all of the CW portion of the band, as I toggle the K3 from one band to another. If I don't see a signal, I just move on to another band.  If I see a station working split, I then narrow the span down to 10 kHz (+/- 5 kHz) so I can see where to transmit.

And that's it.

A simple life is a good life.
