Good deal! Now if we can get you to use the PayPal QSL feature on ClubLog.

I've seen three different Kingdom of Eswatini stations on air this past week -- 3DA0WW, 3DA0RU, AND 3DA0AQ.

There doesn't even seem to be a way to display your logbook in Clublog in a sortable way, that I can see. And I can't import anything from LOTW that hasn't been confirmed? WTF?

I worked him and IIRC it took forever to get my QSL card back. After several months I emailed him. I forgot the details but he said he didn't get my card or it just arrived or someing.

Haven't sent him one yet. I need to catch up on sending out cards.

I did FINALLY get a card from the QSL manager for XE1XR (Mexico) after sending 3 Euro in June.

@Emoto

Someone hat can read a pileup!

I heard one that sounded like a lynch mob. Whne the DX station said "QRZed" I shouted "String'em up!"

It's a hobby, people!

Anyway after a while I reverted back to my call sign and when the station called me I said, "Sounds like a lynch mob from and old western movie here. You don't need this."

"You're right. CH2XYZ going QRT. Out."

"Itahh-Lee Zooo-Looo....."

Figures.

When they're too aggressive, I don't bother for long. Some of the DX stations are smart and call for specific areas only, like calls with a "5" in them or whatever.

Then you get Navassa which only goes on the air once every 20 years or so and EVERYONE and their cousin wants them and it's totally tumultous. You get every Yagi aiming at it and if theiy own 50K amp it's turned up the the Big Max.

And of course, we leave our hero trying to work them with 30 watts and a poorly tuned wire in a tree, coupled with the fact that his radio can only work simplex and they are running a 10 up split.

Fortunately it was a 10 up split. One click of the decade switch.

Click "KbXXXX"

Click. Nope No joy

Click "KbXXXX"

Click. Nope, No joy.

Click KbXXXX

repeat over 100 times.

A month of Sundays later

Click KbXXXXX

Click KbXXXX you are 59!

Click 59, 30 watts and a wire!

Click  Wow! 30 watts and a wire! "I want a picture of you rig!

Click, "Done deal. Shoot me an email with your personal call."

Click Wilco, Q R Zed!

That's why I'm enjoying FT8. I don't have to hear any pile-ups. And being a weak-signal mode, I can still work stations when the band I'm on is shit for SSB. 20M SSB has been dying on me by dark, but FT8 is still going strong. It gives me more radio time. If it's good enough for SACraig and K9-Bob (both big hitters in the DX world), it's good enough for me.

I still try to work new countries on SSB as much as I possibly can.

I'll warn you now -- it's very addictive. I always said I'd never have any interest in that mode, but I was wrong. Early on, I erroneously thought that it had something to do with internet, but once I learned that it sends a signal through airwaves just like SSB or CW, I had no problem accepting it.

I won't speak for Bob but I'm no big hitter.  I'm not even on the Honor Roll nor do I have 5BDXCC (although that one is getting close).

I am glad you gave FT8 a try.  It's a DX chaser's Fish In A Barrel, just sit back and let them come to you for a change.

Except it's point-to-point.  No intermediate servers to route a packet through.  Traceroute for FT8 is simple: You->Him // Him->You.  You either make it on your own or you don't, same as any other mode.  You exchange call signs and signal reports, same as any other mode.

The same Russian team that was in the Kingdom of Eswatini has crossed the border into Lesotho and just started operating today as 7P8RU. They just now got on FT8 on 7.056 MHz. I also read that they are doing CW on 14.037 MHz.

Paraguay is a great one, as you seldom see a station from there on SSB.

Awesome!
