15 States worked so far. Chugging along towards my WAS quicker than HF has been working for me recently. I'm on a 6/2/440 triband vertical btw.

I've never seen this many stations on there, even in contests. I heard a couple old timers saying they've never seen it like this either. It's been going over 6 hours here.....

ETA: Some East coast stations were reporting Moscow analog TV reception.

If you need Iowa for WAS, give me a PM.

I haven't been on 6 for very long, but I haven't seen it like this either. I tried to work a few stations on 6 during the CQ VHF contest this past weekend, but it was a no go. The band is crowded, wish i had a beam right now.

I just have a rotary dipole and wish I had a beam too!

Looking for you on 6 now but not hearing anything. It's not as open as it was to east and central, but opening more to the west from here.

The band it fading here. Still some strong CW from the SW but most else is gone. I'm sure we could have worked earlier! I'm here all week..

I worked a guy in Cincinnati on 6 CW this Spring and his buddy George heard me and tried, but I heard nothing. George send me an email and we setup a sched to try over and over, but no good propagation. He only needed three states for WAS, and Iowa was one of them. Today when the band was wide open I was tuning around and heard him in a QSO. Just by random I found George with an excellent signal and worked him. A few minutes later he was in another QSO and I couldn't copy him at all. They call it sporadic skip for a reason!

Its pretty much dead here too. Midnight and i still hear a few stations at the noise floor. 21 states worked in a few hrs on a rinky dink vertical. Almost every station I worked was an honest 59 signal, can't wait for an opening to happen like this again.
