Tomorrow is the 20m digital net (Olivia) but a lot of guys hang around after to make QSOs on other freqs/modes.

Usually. Just tune in and throw out a few CQ ARCOM calls if you don't hear anyone at the specified time.

75 was noisy but worked VA and PA fairly well. The SC stations were hard to copy. Shut down now. 40 was still pretty good. 20 mostly dead. Was hoping for some evening 20 meter to the northwest.

Noise was s7 to s8 here. Many of those I was working were running 500-600 watts. 100 was tough. The ones with real good antennas were copying me and I was copying them. Needed good antenna, power or both this evening. Typical summer evening.

I have been wondering too. It seems like there is very little interest in having SSB Voice Arfcom nets.

Today is Tuesday. Anyone interested? Should we unpin this thread and let it die?

I would be interested, depending on time of day and band. I currently make it a point to attend the Wed digital net each week that we can.

80 meters is a long shot from South Carolina but we can try tonight. Maybe switch to CW if conditions are bad?
Let's see if anyone else is interested.
All I got for 80 meters is an Inverted-V at almost 70 ft above ground. Unfortunately it's only resonant from 3820 through 3920 kc.

I'll be heading to the shack in a few minutes. Post here if anyone wants to try a net on 80 meters. I can be a NC if we get enough participants. We'll need to find a clear frequency.

We can later switch to 40 meters so Brundoggie can join too (if propagation cooperates). 40 meters was in decent shape yesterday until about midnight ET as I worked a few Europeans and South American stations. There was no DX coming it from out West. It won't hurt to try though.
