Google search came up flat. Are there any to be had?

I believe Penn spinning reels are made in the USA. I own some and they are beautiful.

Only a little bit of the top of the line current spinning reels are USA made. Penn Torque is $450+ and is the first one that comes to mind. I saw that Penn also reintroduced an old design recently, which is USA made at around $200 - the "Z-Series."
Van Staals are crazy nice (and again high dollar) but have been made in China for a few years now. Might try Avet, possibly Accurate. Both for sure used to be USA made about ten years ago, probably also Chinese now as well. |

I should also mention its freshwater not saltwater.
I saw the Penn Z, it's nice but not ambi. IRT came out with a freshwater series that looks nice but also does not look ambi. Ah well. I guess concessions must be made. |

You're also looking at $400 reels... I only look at where my stradics are coming from..
ETA: That's like going back to the Penn comments above. Sure, some Penn's are made in the states but a bulk of them are made in China. I should have quantified my previous statement by saying "MANY shimano reels...." |

Just get one of these you will not be disappointed. From Customer service; If the reel retails for over $150 it’s Korean, if it’s less, they are assembled in China from Korean parts. Please let me know if you have any additional questions, and have a wonderful day! |

I like my penn conquers. But they aren't made in America anymore or made at all for that matter.
I might look into ci4+ next for my redfish rods. |
