THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT I mainly fish for Walleye and Catfish and on occasion Panfish but not very often .The current can be strong at times which requires up to 3/4oz Jig or One Eye. I do prefer a Open Bail and Rod to be under 6'6", 2 piece is ok. My budget is under $150.00 for both. |

I missed that it wasn't in the description. A lot of the spinning rods are one piece.
Here's the reel on a 2 piece Ugly Stick http://www.tackledirect.com/penn-550ssg-bws110066-ugly-stik-combo-9550bw662mh.html There's also a lighter combo using Penn's 440ssg if you don't want as heavy an action. |

I would suggest that you go into a store and handle several R&R combos to see how they feel to you. You probably won't find a combo that will handle your 3/4oz weight and current and still be pleasant to use when fishing with light jigs or spinnerbaits.
