Breakers by Edward W Robertson.

I got it for $0.99.  A lot of the 0.99 ebooks aren't very good and most don't get finished.  This one starts slow but ended up being worth reading.

Just read it. Enjoyable read.

The other two books in series are worth a look I think. At $0.99, what could go wrong?
