Saw it.  Liked it.  Very different.  Contains, in my opinion, one of the scariest depictions of a cult of personality ever put on screen.  To me, though,

it has a definite sense of "the rich keep us down".

Seen it as well. Formergrunt94 got it pretty much right.

I watched it a few days ago.  It was 2hrs+ and I walked away with a meh feeling.  There's most definitely a F the upper class socialist message that isn't even thinly veiled.

I've never seen a train or the tracks they ran on that went 18 years with no maintenance, esp in sub-zero winter conditions.
I have to wonder what they fed the chickens they're supposedly raising for 18 years, to have so many carcasses hanging in the galley
I was trying to calculate the weight of the water in the aquarium car and figured it had to exceed the rating of any rail car.
Not to mention, even if they rationed food to the rest of the train the way they did the end cars, I don't see the food sources having the carrying capacity to feed the front of the train in the level of luxury that was implied, given the number of bodies they're showing as the group moves forward through the cars.
Even if they relied on existing tracks on land from before the freeze, how did they get across the former oceans? They certainly didn't build track across the water before the big freeze.
Just a few things I considered while watching the film.
Suspension of disbelief and all.

I would rather see the 'Wool' series turned into a movie. Much more believable than a train that runs non-stop with no maintenance.

Its based on a French graphic novel and directed/co-written by a South Korean director(he's a liberal).  It oozes of socialism.

It has good action sequences and you can see the Korean directors influence in the fight screens. If you liked Old Boy you'll probably like it as well.  The South Korean director Bong Joon-ho is quite popular with critics.  His other movies Mother and The Host all have a Rotten Tomatoes scores above 90%.

The movie was actually released in 2013 in South Korea.  Weinstein bought the rights to the US release of the movie.  The Weinsteins wanted to cut out 20 mins of the movie and add opening/ending monologues. The director refused and the Weinstens limited it to a few theaters.  Since, the movie received positive reviews it's being played in more theaters now.

Watched it, the ending needs work. Knowing my ecology I could easily tell you that the train couldn't be self sustaining with that  many "predators" (IE things that eat other living things). Maybe if there was some sort of rapid growth fungi bath car, maybe, but yeah didn't see one.

Refuse to watch it just on the shitty premise.  I'll believe (and watch) a tornado full of hungry sharks falling out of the sky before I believe in a big train hauling the remnants of humanity around the globe.

Definitely a commentary on the rich using the poor to feed their needs. The ending was effed.

The most important part of the movie was that the oppressors were behind the revolt...
The oppressors spark these revolutions to control the population and stay on top.
