I'm thinking about using an AR for hunting deer and black bear around my house. Trying to find the most effective round. That imi 77 grain looks interesting.

I would use something in the 308 variety myself.

If you are set on using 223 go with the 70g tsx,  they penetrate deep and expand well.

I would absolutely not use a fragmenting OTM.

I killed a 150lb wild dog using the 77gr MK262. One shot stop and the round did not exit the carcass. Dumped all it's energy making it DRT. I actually shot 15 wild dogs the largest being 150lbs. All were on shot stops with no exit wounds using the MK262.

My only bear was taken with a bow. I have taken quite a few deer with the AR. I highly recommend the 70gr TSX if you might use your AR on a bear. It is very accurate and very effective. The OTM's are not predictable enough for me.

YMMV.

I have killed several whitetail deer with 77gr otm, and several hogs.  It will kill, but much prefer 62gr tsx for more dependable results.

3 this year, all excellent results. I will happily use it again.
