Going on my first Oryx hunt in a month or so out near El Paso. I'll be hunting on private property, appr. 30,000 acres. Its pretty open and I've seen several Oryx droppings from the area, but I haven't spotted any Oryx. I'll be hunting with my father who wont be able to walk for several miles to stalk, so my plan is to bait the a few spots and set up on a ridge to overwatch the bait. I know they have great eyesight, so I plan on shooting out to 300-400 yards. Does anyone have any suggestions or methods that have worked in the past? Time frames for movement (do they move mostly at daybreak and dusk like deer)? What to look for to pick them out?
