Hello fellow AR15.com hunters,

I'm looking for some advice as to where to start looking. I'm on the North end of Las Vegas and new to the area.

I do not want anyone's "hot spot", but some general advice as where to start my travels.

I will not be using dogs, only hand calls and e-callers.

Please feel to respond to this post or PM me.

Thanks,

Rick

I am not sure about the laws, but I know in Utah there is something about not being allowed to use e-callers (possibly any call) to hunt lions. Something about not allowing the hunter to properly identify the age/ sex of the lion.

Might be something to look at before saying you aren't going to use dogs.

i see you are from NM. i have a friend that guides down by silver city for lions. link i have heard of some people calling them in. but ur best chance will be with dogs. but when calling u might get some coyotes and other animals so it would be fun none the less

stuckincal,

Thanks - just checked out the web site and they have harvested some nice animals.
