I need to buy a pressure cooker for a glass top stove.  From my findings on the interwebs, it seems like I need a stainless steel one.  I was thinking a 6 quart.  I need to pick it up fast because my beans are coming in.

Any brands/size/types/whatever I should think about?  Are the electric ones worth it?

I haven't canned beans since I helped my grandmother as a kid, so let me know if I'm missing anything.

Buy an electric pressure cooker.  They are extremely versatile.

Electric pressure cookers are great.  Extremely versatile.  We get tons of use out of ours.

We've used aluminum pressure cookers on glass tops with no problems. A stand-alone unit is more convenient, though, and doesn't take up range space.

Will actually hold 4 quart jars at once and is great for cooking as well. It's awesome.

Do you want to cook the beans or can them.  It is completely different.
