its fairly simple once you get the hang of it. My training was " well here is the machine, we want you to go here and do this"

for the most part with snow ice you turn the moldbord to push everything out. with rock you turn to push rock inwards

Basic equipment experience, skid loader, tractors, end loaders, have a cat D6 in the family

Im sure you would get the hang of it, we had a female work with us last summer as "summer help" I showed her how to run the end loaders, skid steer, and how to run the graders, she took off with the skid steer and she ended up loving running it as much as she could.

Didn't do anything in the tractor today since it rained cats and dogs all day, but I did make this work platform the other day so I could do things up in the air without being in a ladder.

So far I've used it twice to change out the bulbs in that light fixture shown above plus the same in another light fixture over one of my shop doors.  I use an 8' ladder to get into and out of it.  Very stable working platform while up in the air, much mo betta than using a ladder while working!

Don't mind climbing the ladder plus I'm not sure I could get my wife to lift me and/or drive the tractor safely.

Didn't weld anything:  that's a standard IBC container with the tank removed.  All I did was cut one side for the entry, install a safety chain and put an old rubber mat on the bottom, pretty easy.  The IBC tote only cost $25 as well, pretty good deal off of Craigslist.

Yes I do! Dad taught me the basics and then left it with me. So far I've built a few roads, a backstop, and cleared some brush. Maintenance is kind of a pain though. Every 100 hours cost a small fortune in fluid and filters lol

Had some scrap ends of 12 gauge square tube (2" ID) left from the equipment shed install, so I thought I'd do something with some of  it. Picked up a couple of cat 1 lift arm pins & made a trailer mover. (My first attempt at stick welding, using an old Lincoln AC-225)  Consists of 4 pieces of tube & 2 short pieces of 1/4" flat I found a while back.

Had to relieve the back side of the tube to accommodate the top link end profile.

Gave it a first try out on the 1025R moving this around (load of rock salvaged from an old fish pond water feature) to get it out of the driveway until we have a place to unload it.

A lot easier to maneuver with the 1025R than a crew-cab F-150...

Thanks, it is a year 2000 JD 4300. I bought it new and it has about 570 hours on it now.

It has made my life much easier. I use the front end loader and fork attachment to avoid as much manual labor as possible.

I started clearing some overgrown clearcuts for foodplots. No before pics, but I did take some in progress pics.

Some of it bush hogged:

More bush hogged:

The grown up part in the middle is a burn pile that never got burned and some really rough terrain that I'm going to smooth out. Once I finish this clearing, there's another that's a lot bigger on the other side of the road that I'll start on. There are several more areas, but I've got to decide what to cut and what to leave for bedding areas.

No pics, but drove my 1961 JD 4010 home from service at the dealership. Just 50 minutes for the 9 mile drive in 8th gear and full throttle (2,000 rpm).

Needed the rock shaft lever and cable replaces and I was going to be gone too much to get too it. They put a new coolant and block heater on while it was in.

Picking up a JD 336 baler from the inlaws and trying my hand at hay this year. Already bought a sickle mower. Trouble finding people to do the little amount of hay we have

I used my tractor to make my wallet lighter. I noticed the front axle was leaking, so they came to get it yesterday. I don't have a truck and trailer that could haul it. The good news is they were running a service special and I was due for the 500 hour service. Getting them to do the service waives the pickup and delivery fee. The service is $325, but pickup would have been $150-$200.

Those look very similar to the Duo Grip chains I ordered from TireChain.com for my 3038E a couple of months ago.  Of course after I ordered them it warmed up and our driveway melted off finally so I haven't had a reason to put them on yet.  They look and feel like good quality chains though.
