I started clearing some overgrown clearcuts for foodplots. No before pics, but I did take some in progress pics.
Some of it bush hogged: Attached File More bush hogged: Attached File The grown up part in the middle is a burn pile that never got burned and some really rough terrain that I'm going to smooth out. Once I finish this clearing, there's another that's a lot bigger on the other side of the road that I'll start on. There are several more areas, but I've got to decide what to cut and what to leave for bedding areas. |

No pics, but drove my 1961 JD 4010 home from service at the dealership. Just 50 minutes for the 9 mile drive in 8th gear and full throttle (2,000 rpm).
Needed the rock shaft lever and cable replaces and I was going to be gone too much to get too it. They put a new coolant and block heater on while it was in. Picking up a JD 336 baler from the inlaws and trying my hand at hay this year. Already bought a sickle mower. Trouble finding people to do the little amount of hay we have |

I used my tractor to make my wallet lighter. I noticed the front axle was leaking, so they came to get it yesterday. I don't have a truck and trailer that could haul it. The good news is they were running a service special and I was due for the 500 hour service. Getting them to do the service waives the pickup and delivery fee. The service is $325, but pickup would have been $150-$200.
