This seems like the most appropriate forum to put this in so I will ask here.  There is a local guy selling some live m18s for 30 bucks each.  What is a good price on these?  I was thinking of taking one in my hiking bag as a just in case something happens type thing.  Would this seem like a good or bad idea to anyone else?

If a local is selling quality M18s that are not rusted or dented $30 each is a hell of a deal. I would personally buy every one he had.

Currently they sell for $60+ each, commonly hitting a hundred dollars or more on GB.

Aside from an investment, smoke is a handy thing to have. It works great to signal others and does nicely at making instant concealment.

These are what I could afford to get today.  Ill stop by tomorrow to see what is left.  On a side note, is that how the bottom is supposed to look?  I am new to these things.

Look good to me. That "tape like" substance on the bottom is where the smoke expels from.

If they are in good looking shape get as many as you can for that price.

^^ they're all right..

I have purchased [several] in varying colors including a couple M83s.

I couldn't find them for anywhere near that price.

I've seen auctions on GB go for well over $150/ea..

If he has violet, you should pick those up. They are hard to come by.

I remember back in the good old days you could buy them at the gun show for 5 bucks each . Any color you wanted and they were still sealed in the card board tubes .
Sometimes the vendors would also have the HC version .
