Hi there. I have been looking every where without any luck.

Anyone know who is the manufacturer behind Sawyer Water Filtration mini system?
Do they utilize the same technology as Lifestraw?

I have both the Sawyer Squeeze One, a LS Bottle and two LSs.

Sawyer makes their own products, IIRC, utilizing the same micro-tube filtration technology found in recent kidney dialysis machines.  From online literature I've read, we don't use this micro-tube technology any longer in the kidney machines because it does such a good job of removing things, it takes out the good stuff with the bad.

I don't know if the LS uses this same method, or if they're just iodine impregnated carbon, but LS does a pretty good job with non-virused water, as long as it's not super muddy.  I think it was TIME magazine's 2006 'product of the year,' if that matters?

I put one of the small ones on hose of my camelback. It works but it kind of tough to suck the water through it.

I just got a Sawyer mini at WM for $20.00.
Have not had a chance to try it. If it works as good as they say.
Will put one in every ones  bags!
