i post very little, But I do log on and read many posts.
I am looking for a replacement caps for my 5 gal. fuel containers. i have both plastic and metal cans.
with the new standards all i can find are the crappy nozzles. All i want is a cap that will keep my fuel container sealed.
does anyone have a "aftermarket" solution?

That link was posted a little while back.  I ordered a couple sets to refurb some older plastic containers that had fallen into disrepair.  Haven't had a chance to put them to use yet to give you any solid feedback, but they appear to be well made items.  I would prefer if the spouts were clear instead of black.

i heard blitz is allegedly going out of business but in the past if you called them and told them you broke the nozzle on your *ahem* "water can" they'd send you an old-school style nozzle free to replace it.

I read 'Filling for Bankruptcy'. Not going out of business, just reorganizing debt?

Thanks, just bought a couple for some newer can's I was using, had them stored away because I got tired of messing with the CARB spout.

I bought six of these several months ago and they work fairly well.  They are a bit spendy for what you get but they do work better than the new nozzles.  The most important part is the vent that you install in the upper rear of the can.  Just putting that in will let you empty a can  in a lot less time than with the old CARB nozzles.  If you get these,  pay some attention to the rubber gasket in the new nozzle.  I found them a little difficult to seal.
