found a place that has them in stock for less than an arm and a leg. had order confirmation within 30 mins, shipped confirmation in 12 hrs. not bad for ordering at 1am (intoxicated use of a credit card). i'll post the final experience w/ them when i get the blanket. only ordered one (i know, probably regret it) as i'm trying to save money. they're located in Seattle, and shipping to WI was $10 for one blanket, would have been $12 for 2.

Just received two from there. They were brand new with a tag on them and did not have a strong odor. I am really, really impressed with the quality, thickness, everything! They are even thicker than my West German wool blankets that I bought last year. They are also a nice color and the wife will allow them on the furniture in the den. Seems like a top notch company and they even sent me a free pen .

Dammit. I had to go to Seattle last week and was going to stop by there for a looksee. Just didn't have time and my 3 year old didn't have the patience.

I've never owned a Hudson Bay, but I can't imagine them being much nicer than these other than the colors. These blankets are damn fine for the money!

got mine today. not "in the package" but def brand new w/ the tags still on. not fleece soft, but very soft and comfortable for a 100% wool blanket. glad i could find one at a reasonable price. kicking myself for not buying a bunch when i had the chance.

Mine came in the other day and this thing is nice. I should have bought a couple more.
This thing is so warm i'm going to have to wait for it to get a lot colder to use it.

that particular site does, but it seems that other sources for them have run out. don't know if they're no llonger being produced, but they have become awefully scarce as of late.
